For the months of June, July, and August, Broomfield residents can enjoy free curb-to-curb transit service through FlexRide, a service that provides extended bus service for people to get around town. The service runs Weekdays 5:30 am to 7 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
This service could be popular among youth groups as they travel to their summer jobs or summer school classes on hot days, when riding their bicycles doesn’t sound too appealing. The service provides access to the US 36 BRT at Broomfield Station. Riders can board schedule free (quick-board) at the top of the hour at Broomfield Station.
FlexRide is also a great way to bring family or friends together as large groups of people can ride together to their summer gatherings. A few popular destinations FlexRide buses can be spotted at include The Bay Aquatic Park, Broomfield Rec Center, Broomfield Mamie Eisenhower Library, as these locations see a rise in traffic during the summer months.
You can schedule your ride by downloading the App RTD FlexRide or by phone in English and Spanish at 303-299-6000. For more information please visit Broomfield.org/FlexRide
